Muscle Cars – It’s a Love

After years and years of hearing how muscle cars are out of here never to be seen again, I’m beginning to think that all these people that hate muscle cars are losing the battle. Back in the mid to late 1970′s I heard that gas prices would kill American muscle cars.

Then again in the 1980′s when the government got tough on emissions, and began to kill power that all cars had, yet still the muscle car had made it through the storm, maybe you just can’t kill American automotive history. Read the rest of this entry »

Thunderbird Classic Cars – Beautiful Classic From Ford

Upon their first appearance in 1955, Thunderbird classic cars have been a favorite of both car buffs and regular folks alike. The very first Thunderbirds were compact sports cars that screamed speed, style and class. Four-seater designs didn’t evolve until the late 1960′s. Thunderbirds were only two-seaters between those times. This classic was built with a V8 engine and could reach top speeds of 110-120 miles per hour.

The Ford T-Bird, as it was affectionately called, came in many different colors, the most popular of which were apple red and pure white. They came to represent the entire 50′s decade all on their own, most certainly a turning point in American society. Read the rest of this entry »

Shipping Your Classic Car

One of the great things about owning a classic car is the ability to go and show it off. Many classic car owners will want to take their vehicles to meetings that feature similar cars they can be across the state or across the country. If you’ve spent a ton of time fixing up your classic autos in making it showroom ready then odds are you may very well want to attend one of these get-togethers for your classic car model. So what do you do to get your vehicle to its destination?

After you spend so much time restoring your classic vehicle the last thing that you probably want to do is put a ton of miles on it by driving a great distance to your classic car meet. Most classic auto owners unless they live very nearby will have their classic vehicle shipped to its intended destination. Many owners will choose to have an enclosed auto shipping truck to protect their car. This only makes sense as you do not want the possibility of any damage to come to your vehicle in the form of rain or hail or any of the elements that the vehicle might need live on the back of a regular auto transport truck. Not that a regular auto transport truck is a bad thing per say but on the show car most people want to take that extra step and really protect their vehicle to the fullest extent that they possibly can.
